A Theatrical Adventure for Form III

Posted on: 25/05/2021

Last week our Form III (Year 6) headed to Stratford upon Avon to learn more about the life and works of Shakespeare. They visited Mary Arden's Farm to hear about what his early life would have entailed, including how herbs and plants were used to treat all ailments in the Elizabethan era.

They then enjoyed a theatre workshop; acting out parts of Macbeth, which they are currently studying in the classroom. They were very interested in hearing how the make-up and props were constructed during that period, particularly how body parts of certain animals were used in the gorier scenes!
