Our Setting

As you pass through the gates of Maidwell Hall, you will see our extensive grounds with far-reaching views that fire the imagination and spark new possibilities in young minds. There are woodlands to explore, nature to discover and friends to meet.

This beautiful setting is the ideal place for young children to learn and flourish throughout their formative years. It’s a place where children are allowed to be children; where they can build dens, invent games and create their own adventures. Where children can discover who they are, what they enjoy, and how they relate to others.

The freedom pupils have to explore the outdoors is a defining feature of life at Maidwell Hall. All year round we provide plenty of opportunities for children to engage in outdoor play – cycling, climbing, hiking, a wide variety of sports and even boating on our lake.

At the heart of our school estate is a 17th-century manor house, which provides a warm and welcoming environment where children feel at home. The classrooms and boarding accommodation can be found here, alongside more recent facilities.

The sense of comfort and safety created by our staff in this setting gives pupils the confidence to go out and explore the world, to try new things and develop their talents. It encourages them to become engaged, compassionate and articulate individuals – ready to embrace all of life’s opportunities.
