Remote Maidwell is in full swing!Posted on: 02/02/2021
As we began another national lockdown, Remote Maidwell began in earnest, ensuring that all our children would have the same high standard of education at home, as they would at Maidwell.
Every Prep child already had their own iPad at school, so the transfer to Remote Learning was very straightforward for them. Every remote lesson is delivered live and having the best technology at their disposal means that they can easily download, complete and hand in work independently. The children all join remote Prayers twice a week, take part in PE lessons and meet with their tutors. Once academic lessons have finished, there are PE, LAMDA and music lessons. Plenty to keep everyone as busy as ever!
The Pre-Prep have also been enjoying daily live lessons, including Maths, Literacy, French and Art, as well as one to one reading sessions, PE, Forest School and Story Time.
It is important that all our children know that wherever they might be in the world, the Maidwell community is as strong as ever.
Whilst praising our pupils for the high standard of work that they have been managing to maintain, Mr Lankester also offered some words of reassurance: “I have no doubt that the Maidwell spirit will once again see us through this difficult period. We are a strong community and I am proud to see teachers, pupils and parents working together to ensure that Remote Maidwell continues to be such a success”.
