Joining the Pre-Prep
Every pupil is warmly welcomed into our Pre-Prep family at Maidwell Hall. Whether your child is starting school for the first time, or joining part-way through their Pre-Prep years, we provide a range of integration and transition opportunities to help pupils quickly feel at home.
Visiting the School
Throughout the school year, we offer various open days and taster sessions to help parents find out more about our Pre-Prep, and ensure children enjoy a smooth transition into our School.
Most parents choose to learn more about Maidwell through one of our open mornings or an individual visit. On these occasions, parents and pupils have an opportunity to meet our staff and see our Pre-Prep facilities. As well as visiting our classrooms, parents and their children can explore the beautiful setting in which our pupils learn, play and grow.
Registration
It is after the above stage that you begin the formal admissions process if you would like your child to join us. You will be asked to complete a registration document and to pay a non-refundable fee of £100.
Taster Sessions
For young children joining us at the start of their school life, we host a number of taster sessions. Parents come into the School with their child to experience a few hours in the Pre-Prep. This gives us all an opportunity to get to know each other and enables a smooth transition.
For children wishing to join us part-way through the Pre-Prep years, we will invite your child to spend a couple of hours with us in the class they will be joining. As well as helping your child get to know their potential classmates and new surroundings, it enables our teachers to find out more about your child.
