Historical adventures for Form II
Posted on: 11/02/2020Form II (Year 7) visited the National Civil War Centre at Newark Museum, where they had great fun learning about this city's integral and exciting role in the English Civil War. The museum really brought alive the battle, when the town of Newark held fast whilst under seige from Parliamentary forces. The children held the original muskets, canon balls and armour which they found both fascinating and exciting, while the period costumes caused much amusement!
"I just loved the whole day, it just made me wish I could go back in time and see it all for real" said May Henson in Form II
