Common Entrance SuccessPosted on: 27/06/2019
Huge congratulations to Form I who have all passed their Common Entrance; the 20th consecutive year with no failures and each child gaining entrance to their first choice of senior school. We also had several children who were awarded a range of scholarships.
The children were given the good news by Headmaster, Robert Lankester, during their trip to Pembrokeshire where they were undertaking a wonderful (but tough!) 60 mile walk along the beautiful Pembrokeshire Coast. The walk takes place over three days and is an annual activitiy for all our leavers. Not only is it a perfect end to their Common Entrance, but enables them to raise money for our chosen charity.
This year we are supporting School Readers. This wonderful charity aims to improve childhood literacy by providing volunteers to give one-to-one reading practice to children in primary schools.
The Pembrokeshire walk is the beginning of an exciting leavers programme for Form I, who over the next few weeks will be putting exams behind them and fully enjoying themselves!
