14 boys and 13 fathers embarked on this year's sponsored walk across the Brecon Beacons. As usual it was an unsupported expedition and we carried all food, clothing, water, cookers and tents necessary for the three days. For the boys this meant up to 20kgs on thier backs. The walk lasted for 3 days and we covered 40 miles. We climbed 8 of the Beacons with the highest and toughest four on the first day. We enjoyed very good weather (it was almost too hot at times) and our wild campiste beside Llyn y Fan Fawr was spectacular. It was certainly a big challenge and one of the hardest things that the boys, and some of the fathers, had done, but it was great fun as well.
